Great Britain secured their fifth men's title on the second day of the last ever SPAR European Cup in Annecy.

They finished with 112 points , 14 ahead of second-placed Poland. 

Triple jumper Phillips Idowu was elected the Athlete of the Cup, having helped Britain to the biggest winning margin in the men's Cup for nine years.

Russia's women, unbeaten since 1997 won the womans title.

The GB & NI women's team claimed a well deserved third place.
